First and foremost, if people don't want Jaws to stutter like that, don't type out that stuff at the bottom of your messages. That's the first thing.
The second thing is that Jaws is sharing your sound memory with the system memory, so, if your computer had 2 gigabytes of memory, a portion of that memory is allocated to the sound and video, so, in most cases, you're only using 1 gigabyte of memory for your system, and the other 1 gigabyte is being shared by the sound and video. Now, this is the case for systems and motherboards that use what's called, "On-Board audio and video". What this essentially means is that you have no sound card or video card to process the video and sound separately, so, your system is constantly fighting for memory allocation. I believe one person had the solution, that being purchase a separate sound card, which should give your system some of the memory back and give your sound more memory to use. Obviously, the larger memory models are more expensive, but I remember the old SoundBlaster cards as being pretty good, especially if you're just running Jaws through it, and those you can get through any used computer shop for a song and a penny, so I would suggest you start there. Just make sure that the card you're buying doesn't also share the system memory or you won't have fixed a thing. There are some cards that will use the memory on your sound card in addition to the system memory for higher frequency and bitrate dependent applications or games. Those are not the ones you want. As I said, if you're going to spend money on a separate sound card, then there should be no trace of memory sharing when you're done, otherwise, what's the use. By the way, have I told you all how much I hate those silly Jaws sound effects with the stuttering and all that stuff? Well, if I didn't, than I most assuredly am now. I just delete those outright, and don't even bother responding to them. Anyway, hope this information helps you.
