Hello Mike,

A .PPS extention is for a PowerPoint presentation that opens in the Show
Mode. If you open it through Windows Explorer then it goes into show mode
and you don't have the menu bar. You might try browsing to it using the
open dialog box in PowerPoint. You can also safely rename it to a .PPT
file. Opening it as .PPT will cause the file to open in normal presentation
mode and not in the show mode. You will likely be able to work with it a
lot better simply by renaming the file to a .PPT.

Take care.

Hi William,

When I press the F12 key nothing happens. If I try to open the menues with
the Alt key nothing opens, & nothing happens when I try to open the file
menu with the Alt + F keystroke. The only thing I can get to open is Jaws
options, Jaws key + V. Any suggestions why no menues will open? Thank you
very much.
Take care.
Mike

Mike: This is probably not a sure thing, but try:

Open your presentation.
Hit your f12 key
tab to file type
arrow down to outline rtf
and then save.
You might want to check and make sure your getting all the content from some

sample slides, but this has usually worked well for me when I've needed to
use it.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Selecting Text In Powerpoint

Hi All,

I have a .PPs file that has 15 slides. Is it possible to select the text
from all 15 slides at 1 time? If so, how would I do it & if not how do I
select the text from the individual slides? I tried using slect all on the
individual slides using the Jaws append to clipboard feature but, I ended up
having the text from 1 slide overriding another & got multiple copies of the
same text in various areas of the Word document I pasted the text into. I
am running Office 2007, XP Home, Jaws 13 & 14. All help will be greatly
appreciated. Thank you all very much.
Take care.
Mike
