It really works well with a screen reader. Pressing the windows key will bring up the start screen, if you start typing you are placed in a search box for apps / programs. Windows plus W puts you in a search box for settings. Windows plus F puts you in a search box for files. Windows plus I gives you the settings by category and windows plus X gives you additional settings. Windows plus C brings up the charm bar which I do not use at all.
