When you say that the keystroke doesn't always work, do you mean that
the keystroke itself is too awkward or that the keystroke when pressed
makes no difference often to the resulting page, i.e., that the result
is the same as if you had pressed just the enter key? When JAWS says,
"could not detect any change" it doesn't mean there was no change; just
that JAWS couldn't detect it. I also have found it a valuable keystroke
on a number of pages, where the information i sought couldn't have been
got in any other way. (Not using it then is like the experience of going
around in circles.)

hello Alan;
well, I totally agree with what your saying here,
however,
I find that,
the keystroke, ctrl+insert+enter doesn't always work.

I'm wondering why someone would want to do this as many times you
cannot access the portion of the web page where this announcement is
made unless you use this feature? I just went through this with my
Credit Union site and using the mouse over command is the only way I
could get access to certain parts of the page.

hello if you want to turn off the mouseover,
1, open IE,
2, insert+6 on the numbers row,
this opens up the IE jaws settings center,
3, now in the search edit box type in;
element,
this should find one result,
now down arrow the default is checked,
press the spacebar to uncheck,
now tab okay press enter.
hope this helps.
