hmmm, here is what i use on my dell laptop so i can plugin a hardware
mouse or simply a usb wireless mouse dongle to disable the touchpad.
when you install this software, it should place an icon on the
tasktray that you can click on to adjust the settings of your touch pad.

Hi There,
Could you please be a little more specific as to what you downloaded and
from where? I have the same issue, with the touchpad driving me crazy as it
gets in the way when I am typing. A means of using FN F5 to switch it on and
off would be great, as I have sighted family who use my DELL 1537 laptop
with the touchpad, as well as myself, hopefully, without it. When they wish
to use it, it is a simple question then of a keystroke in order to enable
it.
Merry Christmas to all on the list.
Charlie.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] follow up to dell touchpad
Hi,
So, I went to the dell site, downloaded something under the input category
and now I can do the fn plus f5 to mute and unmute my touchpad woohoo!
Now, next, all I need to do is figure out why my internet connection keeps
dropping on this machine.
Thanks to everyone for their patience and for those who took the time to
read and respond.
I will overcome this! Lol.
