Are you pressing the right bracket to put the finish marker at the point
where you want to end the file?
Do that, then you can trim the file as you are attempting to do.

For some reason I can not lay down the end marker where I want it to be. I
stripped everything at the beginning of the file to where I want to start.
When I locate the ending point and try to lay down the ending marker it
put it at the end of the file about an hour past where I want.I can not
figure out what I am doing incorrect.
