I appreciate your concern, but I am a Freedom scientific(Henter Joyce) user since 1990 and am very happy with the product and what it did for me and my customers as commissioner of the Virginia department for the blind and visually handicapped in the 1990's and then in the early 2000's as a contractor teaching access technology here in southwest Florida for the Florida Division of Blind services. And then while heading up a federal agency in Washington. I suffer as you do when web sites do not make their sites web accessible and forget the rules they need to follow to make their sites accessible. So we have to call those web sites unaccessable web sites and their web masters when that happens. I am pleased that by our being proactive, we can get companies like BankAmerica, Delta Airlines, Royal Caribbean etc. to correct their defficiencies.I can remember in the 1980's when I was still working as an investment professional and having to rely on readers to do what Jaws did for me after 1990. May not be perfect, but I am 95% there today. Just my perspective and not trying to start a new thread. Many of us old timers can suggest to younger folks that we have come a long way and yet many organizations still do not understand our needs but in many instances, our suggestions can help lead the way. Freedman scientific, window eyes and other access technology companies do not want their products to fail us but sometimes things are out of their control. Interestingly, while serving in Washington as a federal agency head in the mid 2000's, the federal government was and still continues to be one of the biggest offenders of making their web sites accessible. Crazy but the truth. If not, I hope that some of you report it also. FS Tech support tells me that they can't reproduce it and will not escalate it. At random times, outlook 2010 will stop responding. When this happends, jaws stops speeking and will not allow me to do anything. The only way to get things working again, I have to kill jaws using the dump command and reload. Sometimes, I even have to restart the system to get it Jaws working right. Has anyone had this issue?
