Ok so this is windows seven then? Second, is this a USB headset? If it is, 
there's part of your problem, you'll need to decide what you want to go through 
each sound card. USB headsets are their own separate sound cards. Someone want 
to chime in? I haven't messed with volume controls in awhile.
