Yes and of course the check box was unchecked. Now it is checked.
tools, options programs is where it is located.

Ann,
It has always been my experience that opening any browser that was not
currently the default would produce a dialogue box asking if you
wanted it to become the default browser. Have you opened IE to see if
this happens?
