IE9 used to be my favorite browser, but now I prefer Mazilla Fire
Fox.
So far, I haven't found a button or something that will let me make it my
default browser.
Any ideas anyone?

It only does that if you have it set that way in internet options.
To make IE your default browser:
Go into Internet Options from the control panel. You can go to the
programs tab and check the box to have IE tell you if it is the default
browser or not.
Close this and re-open IE.

Ann,
It has always been my experience that opening any browser that was not
currently the default would produce a dialogue box asking if you
wanted it to become the default browser. Have you opened IE to see if
this happens?
