First, eliminate jaws from the issue, download nvda and try it.  If it
is just a screwy, then the upgrade is probably messed up.  The system
might have had a virus before the upgrade, or been damaged in some other
way.  You never know when you start having problems after an upgrade if
the upgrade is what is causing the problem.  For that very reason, I
wouldn't waste ten minutes installing an upgraded operating system,
erase it all and start over.
