Donnie, Well the below is assuming you have chosen to use the JAWS virtual ribbons options. I find not using this is too confusing and I can't find many things in the ribbons. If you are not using it, you may want to invoke it for below directions or they probably won't work.
1. Open MS Word 2. Hit the Alt key and then arrow once to the left, you'll be on the file tab 3. arrow down until it says options, then hit spacebar 4. Arrow down until you hear trust center (last choice) Tab 5 times until you hear trust center settings 5. arrow down once to protected view 6. tab and uncheck whatever boxes you want 7.tab until you hear ok and hit space bar 8. repeat last step once more and you should be back in document. Open ms word 2. Alt F for the file menu and under help choose options. 3. Arrow down until you hear trust center and press enter, then press enter on trust center settings. 4. Now you want to find file block settings and press enter on it. 5. Tab until you hear Open behavior for selected file types and alt down arrow and choose open selected file types in protected mode and allow editing. Then you can tab to ok and press enter. You will need to close word and restart it. This should solve the problem. Hope this helps.
