Why don't you just change Firefox to the default browser, at least temporarily, so the email will open in Firefox. I have done that. I have also opened a link in one browser, copied the url onto the clipboard and then opened the other browser and inserted the url. I find that in most cases Firefox is the most useful for many websites but occasionally IE will do a better job. I don't have any advice about the Jaws cursor as I am finding it next to useless for anything on the Internet lately with either browser.

Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws cursor not following PC cursor

Sorry, I didn't do a very good job describing the problem. The site is
www.gardeners.com. I'm trying to add items to the shopping cart. All the
links work except add to cart, which Jaws doesn't recognize as a link in
either IE or Firefox. In Firefox, though, if I hit enter, the item ends up
in the shopping cart. Normally that would solve the problem, but there is a
20% off deal for this site, when clicking through the email containing the
deal. My email links open in IE, so if I order through FF, I won't get the
discount. What I want to do with the Jaws cursor is simulate a mouse click.
I've done that often before when Jaws keystrokes won't work on various
sites. But now when I route Jaws to PC, there's no add to cart text to click
on. I don't believe flash is the issue this time. Thanks,

Shari

First, where (on what site or type os site: is it Flash?) is this
control JAWS doesn't recognize that you need to click? Have you tried it
with the virtual cursor off - JAWSKey+z? That is a toggle.

If you press ctrl+JAWSKey+NumPadMinus, you normally want to hear, "the
JAWS cursor will not follow the PC cursor". That is also a toggle. Press
it twice within a second to save your desired setting.

(It's too confusing to have the JAWS cursor following the PC cursor all
the time: Plus, the PC cursor then doesn't move properly because it is
being restricted by the JAWS cursor.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Jaws cursor not following PC cursor

Hi All,

When I route the Jaws cursor to the PC cursor, I'm not in the same
place as I was with the PC cursor. I need to route the Jaws cursor to
the PC to click a control Jaws 13 isn't recognizing with either IE or
Firefox. When I route the Jaws cursor, it either switches me to
another open program, or it just reads a small amount of text no
matter whether the cursor is in real, focus, unrestricted, etc. I
guess somehow the 2 cursors have become unattached. Can someone please
tell me how to get them back together?

Thank you,
Shari
