Teresa.
I suggest, for when the software is in spanish, is switch the language in
jaws. I know that it could be very hard, just to see a contact on skipe. But
if you do the following steps, it will help you when ever you need to read
content in english, or spanishh.
1. Open the script manager. If you press insert 0, it will open.
2. go to file alt F, , and find for open default file. press enter on this
item.
3. it will open the default script code, not in binary. Now go to the button
of the file, with control end key.
4. Press alt S, and press enter on new script.
5. It will ask you a name for the script that you are creating.
You can call it how ever you want, just try to call it with something that
later you will understand what that script does. I suggest something like
ChangeLanguage, or SpanishEnglish, or something that could help you later to
know about this 6.
6. press tab, and select where it says "can be attach to a key".
7. Press tab until you heard "assign to a hot key. here you have to select a
kind of keys that will switch the language. I got insert + window key+ 1.
These keys are not use for any other function of jaws or windows.
8, press tab until ok button, and press enter.
9. copy and paste the following code on the script that you are creating.
Make sure that on the document where you are, a few lines above says;
"Script ChangeLanguage()" or what ever name you wrote as the script name.
Also below it should says something like;
EndScript
The following code should be between these lines of code. I mean, between
Script ChangeLanguage ()
and
EndScript
10. the code is this;
Var
String actual,
String spanish,
String english,
String message
Let actual=GetActiveSynthLanguage()
Let spanish="Latin American Spanish"
Let english="American English"
Let message=""
If Actual==spanish then
Let actual=english
let message=english
ElIf actual==english then
Let actual=spanish
let message="español latino americano"
EndIf
SetSynthLanguage(actual)
Say(message,0)
11. now you need to become the file default in binary. Go to file, and go
down until save. press enter.
12. It should beel a noise, and that is it.
Now, how it works?
every time when you want to read something in english, you press Insert,
window key, and 1. Or what ever keys did you prefer.
Every time that you want to switch to spanish again, just press the same
keys that you pressed before, and the jaws will be in english again.
Like this, you can save a lot of time, and get a very understanding of what
ever you are reading in both languages.

Thanks a lot Brian, I nearly got there. There is a little problem,
though.
Once I get the file with the browsing button, There is an option that say
something like I have to select one of the fields to have the text. When I
do it and press the finish button, only one contact appears. I can't tell
you exactly what it
says, because the software is in Spanish. What can it be? It looks
straightforward, but only one contact is imported.
Thanks,
Teresa Arroyo

Hello Teresa,
When focus is in the Windows Live inbox use CTRL+3 to move to the contacts
list. Use Alt followed by H and tab across the lower part of the ribbon
until you find the Import choice. Press enter key and you will find
choices
to import from a CSV or WAB file.
Take care.

Thank your response. I did this, but it doesn't conect. It takes it as if
I
changed my username.
Now that the subject regarding email hass come up, I have another
question.
As I mentioned, I changed to a new somputer. Since I couldn't find a
outlookexpress to work with Windows 8, this program does not exist
anymore,
I download and installed Windows live Mail. In my old computer, I exported
my contacts from outlookexpress and saved the adress book in a folder. It
is
in the right format. Then I passed it on the new computer.
I tried to import this addressbook to Windows Live Mail, but coul'n't. I
went to application menu, then entered the go to. I arroed the folders,
but
there is no contact option In this same menu, there is option to import
messages, but not contacts.
Thank you for your help. Regards,
Teresa Arroyo

Yes, put recent: in front of your username that is the word recent with a
colon immediately followed by your username.

Hi
When using Gmail, by default you don't receive messages that you post to
an email list. I don't
Know if there is a setting in Gmail to change that.
