Just type in system in the search box and read general tab menu with jaws. Will tell you version, CPU and ram.

Hi Greg,

Another way you can find out what version of IE you're running is invoke the

keystroke, Insert, Control, + V, while in IE.
Take care.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Update on upgrading to IE10

I was able to install IE10 from windows update after I downloaded and
installed service pack 1 on my windows 7 computer. For some reason, though
I have had the computer since July, 2010 SP1 was never installed on it. I
went to the following Microsoft site
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5842 and after a few
false starts was able to download and install it. After that I got about 30
windows updates including the one for IE10.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions on this matter. And BTW I cannot even yet
tell the difference between IE9 and IE10.

If you ever need to find out what version of windows you have on a windows 7
machine type in winver in the search field in the start menu and hit enter
on the .exe file that appears.
