details of how to export messages in outlook express to a backup folder can
be found on the following page:

On this page, see the instructions following: Step 1: Copy message files to
a backup folder.
 
Others on the list may be able to provide some better instructions.
Unfortunately I don't have access to outlook express so I can try this
myself.

David, I just spoke to my friend and she said she is using Windows Live Mail
on her Windows 7 machine.  Is it possible to transfer her address book and
several emails from Outlook Express on her Windows XP machine to her Windows
Live Mail on her Windows 7 machine?  If so, please let me know how so I can
help her.
