With the US legislation do you have to take the offending business to court or
will the government take any action on your and others behalf?
The average person can't take these guys on and I would think that the American
government would be reluctant especially now that the government and banks
share the same bed.

save your breath David,
I took it the first time they did this switch to the complaints department of
credit unions, filed a complaint explained my situation, this was the office
that represents all credit unions in TX.
They listened and well let's just say..they passed me off. I did get one last
email stating, they had sent my complaints to the CEO of my credit union, he
made the obligatory apology, but nothing really got resolved.
When I would call in, I was told that, it's the browser you use, or the
operating system, need to switch to Firefox or use xp, grrr I humored this old
bitty one day, and used the xp machine got same results, she just said...she
would have to talk to the technical dept. lol Funny thing is, when I perform a
system requirements on their site to determine I'm using the proper
OS/settings, it always comes back that I am.
It's the yaw hoo's who run the banks that is the problem.

So just when you finally get brave to tackle online banking, they go and change
it all up, so your basically back to square one.
We never will be where they are or on their level, it will change and just when
your adaptive software is doing it's best, then it has to change to keep up
with these idiots.

Now, I have a headache!

Unfortunately my bank in their effort to improve their web site is little by
little pushing me out the door. They are starting to do strange things like
when I hit enter on a combo box a new window pops up and my wife had to make
it stop before I inflicted major damage to my desk.

Then I was able to download my bank statement but not before, to be honest I
am considering calling their tech center and ripping somebody a new one. I
know it won't do any good but I might just feel a little better.

A complex system that does not work is invariably found to have evolved from
a simpler system that worked perfectly.

Hi Trish. I use BOFA they have both a great site, as well as an iPhone app
that's hands down accessible. You can do anything you want with it. I use
their credit card as a side note, and except for not being able to earn
bonus points easily, I have no issue. They are very understanding if I was a
day late paying, when circumstances flew out the window. I feel for you with
the credit union, I have one and it was great until it changed to bigger guy
headlocked smaller one into merger. Hope I helped somewhat. And, I'll be
interested as to what others say.
