This may (and I would emphasize *may* for the moment) be one part of the two-step verification process that yahoo! et al. use to ensure that you are who you say you are. What is supposed to happen there is that they send an SMS text to your mobile phone (the number of which you would have given them when signing up and agreeing) having a string of numbers in the body which is a verification code that you type in when requested.

I know that recently there were a lot of postings about yahoo mail, but I didn’t use yahoo, so deleted them. I decided to open a yahoo mail account anyway, but now, when I want to test my email, it asks for a mail verification number. I apologize, but how are we supposed to do this?
