SMTP has nothing to do with IE, it is in fact an email concern. The connection issue might be on their end although they will not be overly quick to reveal that fact. If you can connect with browser 1 then browser 2 for example should have no problem at all.
David Ferrin A complex system that does not work is invariably found to have evolved from a simpler system that worked perfectly. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Lenny McHugh Sent: Friday, July 26, 2013 4:08 PM To: JFW List Subject: [JAWS-Users] page can not be displayed I just had a marathon session with verizon. Quite frequently I receive the page can not be displayed in I.e. When I do the trouble shooter I am told that the smt server is not responding. He told me that that is usually an email problem. He had me try firefox and jumping around a few links the error did not come up. He thinks that the problem is within my computer. His first suggestion is to remove IE and reinstall it. Not sure if I really should do this, I have many bookmarks. I am using win 7 on a 32 bit machine.
