Turn off the touch pad, if you can. One less problem to deal with.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Strange Behavior in Word and Outlook 2010
Hello,
I am using JAWS 14 and Windows 8. I have noticed some strange
behavior when
using Outlook 2010 and Word 2010. When I am typing in a document or
message, my cursor will occasionally jump to a different place in the
document, resulting in me inserting text where I did not intend to.
Sometimes, the text that I have just typed will just suddenly
disappear. A
few minutes ago, two paragraphs just disappeared from the bottom of a
Word
document. I thought that I might be accidently hitting the touch pad
and
moving the cursor or selecting text that way. However, even if I am
hitting
the touch pad, I know that I am not pressing the mouse buttons at the
bottom
of the touch pad. Just touching it shouldn't move the cursor or
select
text, should it? This can be very frustrating. I would appreciate
any
suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong and how to fix it.
Thanks,
Scott Duck
