My grandson uses youtube to listen to music. Not too long ago he was notified
to update flash player. As soon as he did he tets tremendous amount of adds on
the youtupe site. There is a disclaimer that the adds are not from the site. At
the time he was using the verson of Nortain that came with his HP computer.
When it expired I could not tellhim how to activate windows defender but had
him remove nortain and install avast. It found 3 items that needed removal. He
went back into youtube using IE and the adds were gone. The next time he
started the computer they were back. I had him download and install
superantispyware. It too removed 3 items and it was clean. Of course it showed
it’s ugly head again and both avast and superantispyware did not locate
anything. I had him try firefox and it was clean. back to Ie and the adds are
there. Downloaded malabites and it located 3 items and removed them. The first
test Ie was clean then they came back. Firefox is still clean.
In IE popup blocker is checked. This is on a windows 8 machine and I can not
find my way around it. Any ideas on where to look.I thought about turning
system restore off for one cleaning attempt but can not locate it yet.
