hello sir; well, I've never experience this problem, I did a search, came up with the following;
Fw: solution to Mirror Display Driver error for JAWS14 in windows7 This is the solution to the problem that many people have been having installing JAWS14, and getting the error concerning the mirror display driver not being correctly installed. This message was sent to me by JAWS tech support concerning another issue, but includes the concise directions for correcting the problem with JAWS14 and the mirror display driver. ----- Original Message ----- Hello: Thank you for contacting Freedom Scientific Technical Support. Following is the information I told you about during our conversation today. JAWS 14.0 mirror driver requires that the file WDF01000.sys be version 1.11.xxx. This file is located in c:\Windows\System32\Drivers. You can find the version by right-clicking on this file. Choose Properties and then click on the Details tab. For product version, as an example, mine says File version 1.11.9200.16384. In order to update this, please click on the following link that will take you to Microsofts Support article on how to download and apply the update. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2685811 After the WDF file has been updated to the current version, The Freedom Scientific mirror driver, from JAWS 13, will need to be uninstalled. >From the Start Menu, in the Search field, type device manager and then press Enter. Tab to the Treeview and press the letter D until you get to Display Adapters. Expand this and locate the Freedom scientific mirror driver. You may find more than one. If so, remove all of them until the only item remaining is your video driver. Once the Freedom Scientific mirror driver has been removed (select "uninstall" from the application context menu, or the Actions menu), you will need to run a /type repair on JAWS 14. To run this type of repair, please do the following: Download and save JAWS 14.0.4004. In your case, you already have the file, so you can skip this step, of course. http://www.freedomscientific.com/downloads/jaws/jaws-downloads.asp Next, navigate to where you saved the file; and, press Shift+Application Key on the j14.0.4004 file and choose Copy As Path Then, open the Run dialog with Windows key+R. Paste the file in and at the end of the line, put a space and then /type repair. Your line should look like the following: "C:\Users\xxx\Downloads\J14.0.4004-64bit.exe" /type repair Press Enter. Restart the computer when prompted at the end of the repair maintenance. You should no longer receive the Freedom Scientific mirror Driver message. * end of Tech Support message https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/macvisionaries/nt0mqsdZJC4/-z3-hCELHHE J -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of David Ferrin Sent: Tuesday, August 20, 2013 10:32 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [JAWS-Users] problem installing the mirror driver Upgrading my wife's system to windows 7 home premium from XP pro and the mirror driver insists upon failing no matter what I do. I know the video is working fine because she is getting resolutions up to 1600 which makes her icons like dots on the screen but it just won't take the mirror driver. Obviously this effects doing anything at all with the JAWS cursor and in other places. Her device manager is happily reporting everything is fine and trying to locate newer drivers than what 7 has by default has cost an entire evening without any success other than to keep us from enjoying our evening. If anybody out there has an idea please speak up. I checked out the FS documentation on this subject and no luck on that front. I know silly me for thinking that I have done this before 3 times the fourth should go smoothly, ever been wrong it has happened to me.
