Okay, which version of IE are you using? With IE 8, there are no radio buttons , or combo boxes under any of the headings to select the option you want. And there is no button to save your preferences. Everything worked fine on Monday, so at least for IE 8, the format and layout of the Search Settings page seems to have been changed since then.

Hi, It does act a little weird.
I find that I have to use the enter key on the items. For number of results I hit enter on the link and then I can arrow through the numbers. The same with turn off instant results, I hit enter and it goes into forms mode and hit enter again to activate the check box. To save the settings I found that you need to use the jaws cursor find the save button and do a left mouse click. Not pretty but doable
Let us know if this helps.

When I try this address, I get the same Google Search Settings page on which I am unable to change or modify anything. There are five headings, but there seems to be nothing under each heading except for theResults Per Page Heading under which are a list of values from 10 to 50, but no apparent way to select the one you want. Under the headings Google Instant Predictions and Where Results Open, there is nothing to select. Previously, I could just turn the virtual PC cursor off with the JAWS command Insdert-Z to change the search settings, but this no longer works. Obviously, something is different now.

To change you're search preferences you have to google.com/preferences
to change you're search settings.

Hi listers. Using IE 8 with XP and JAWS 9, I discovered this morning

Google.com has apparently changed its home page yet again, and now I am

be no way to turn Google Instant on or off like there used to be, nor is
there any apparent way to change the number of results per page from the
default value of 10. And I could not find any button to save the search
preferences. I tried with the virtual PC cursor on and off (Insert Z),
but
nothing seems to work. I was last able to successfully change my search
settings a few days ago. I think I heard a brief message that my browser
was outdated and no longer supported or something like that, which , of
course is nonsense, because IE 8 is the latest bersion supported by XP.
Does anyone have any idea what's going on with Google? Are they
conspiring
with MS to force us to upgrade to Windows 8? Is there any way to change
the
number of results per page and insure that Google Instant is turned off,
short of switching to Firefox, which I despise and use only for its
Webvisum
function? Thanks.
