I assume this would be in "my computer"?
I have looked in each of the drives listed there.
I'll try your suggestion.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

It may not be F could be another letter. Unplug the drive and see
what is listed. Then plug back in and see if any thing new shows. I
have one external that shows up as extension drive and it can have
any drive letter windows assigns it.

That's the problem I'm having. The F drive is not listed.

It will be listed as removeable drive F if that is the last system
drive listed.

Hi all
I hope the subject line is accurate.
I have XP pro and 14.0.
I am unable to find devices I plug in to my USB port .
I go to "my computer" and I see a list that includes "C" drive
and CD, etc. but , not, the new device I plug in to the front of
the PC through a USB port.
There is a USB hub.
When I go in to control panel and add new hardware, I see a bunch
of USB items with useless labels.
I've looked through the items in the "C" drive but nothing looks
like the device
The software has been installed, and I hear the "ding" when I plug
the different devices in.
I assume that whenever a device is plugged in to the USB, I would
see it listed as "F" drive or something like that, in "my computer".
I don't see anything listed when I hit insert F 10 or 11 either.
Thanks for any help.
I don't have this problem on my other PC that is XP home.
