George:
Nope, it did not go directly to me as duly noted from two other list members
that it went public.
The jaws key shift r never worked for me, so I stopped trying to get it to
work. I simply just add those I am interested in communicating with to my
address book and go from there.
So, I think the confusion here is when you do CTRL r that it should go
straight to me, but this is the imphamous jaws-users list, a mailing list so
the email will go to the list and not me, because when you reply using CTRL
r, you are actually responding to jaws-users.com what ever the posting
address is.
This is true for any mailing list, and there might be acceptions such as the
gw micro mailing list, when you send an email using CTRL r there, it will go
to the person directly, but on that list if you want to send to the person
and the mailing list using the reply all command of CTRL shift R will do the
trick. Here is an explination of the reply to all command accessed from
http://www.askjim.biz/answers/reply-to-all-in-email_524.php What does the
"Reply to All" option mean on my email tool bar?
Answer
"Reply all" refers to sending a reply message not only to an e-mail's
original author, but also to any other recipients that were listed in the
original
"To" or "Cc" lists.

This feature can be very helpful when communicating with a team or
committee. But be careful. It can also become annoying to those who feel
that they didn't
need to continually be included in a running discussion between two people.

Furthermore, accidentally hitting "Reply to All" can be dangerous if you
don't mean for some people to get your response.
Email me at [email protected] if you'd like.
Peace and good Wednesday!

Hello Kimson,
Well, that insert + shift + R is not working for me either, but I'm running
outlook 07, jaws 11.
I have my new laptop hooked up nice with jaws 14, office 2010, wind7, but I
use my junk computer for everyday mail like this...
I replied to you now, with control + shift + R and I hope this is off line.
So, every time I wrote using control + R everybody saw it, Huh!
Write me back and let me know if this mail went private, that would be a R
on my name in the email heading.
Well, I'm known to talk crap and if I messed up, Oh well.
If, members ever saw me, I don't think they would want to fight me. LOL_

Have a good day.
                                Jorge

George,
ctrL r would reply back to dennie if it were simply he and you in the
discussion, but in this case, all of us saw the email since this is a
mailing list, so you are not replying to him offline directly, if that is
what you meant?

No command war going on from where I sit, it's good I think that we clear
this up as we have all types on here. Everyone can benefit! Smile!
I know I was thrown off with the insert shift f. I mean with a thousand
keystrokes out there, I was like, when was that one added? Lol.
Peace George!

Denny,
I just read this mail and I think you got the commands backwards.
I am responding back with Control + R only, which is to contact you
privately off line.

                                Jorge

PS-
Man, I started a command war, when I asked about the insert + shift + F
which was garbage.

On a list such as this one, a control r replies to the entire list. Insert
shift r only replies back to the sender of the message.

Why do you need that JAWS command when ctrl R which is an outlook command
also replies directly to sender?

Insert shift r = reply directly to sender, and ctrL f = forward.
I just tried insert shift f, got nothing.

Denny,
So, if insert + shift + R is to reply.

Then, insert + shift + F should forward.

These are new commands for me and just want to correct my notes.

Thanks.
Jorge

For one thing, it's insert shift r, not insert shift control. And it works
OK in my version of Outlook 2010.
Just make sure the message is open when doing the reply.
What version of Jaws are you using?

Hi Denny Jorge, Susie, & Tom,

Everyone that I have asked has said that the, insert, shift, + control
keystroke, does not work in Outlook 2010. So, I was asking to get a broader
opinion as to see if I could get a working reply directly to sender
keystroke to add to my list. Control + r, replies to the current message &
control, shift, + R, replies to all. Thank you all very much for your
replies & input.
Take care.
Mike
