Hi Arianna, On my Win7 systems the same thing occurs,it's just that the start button, is where Jaws is focused. I am not sure that you can change that behavior, it seems to me that it is Jaws, not the computer. I just alt tab, and the Jaws window gains the focus, since it is not running in the system tray. In earlier versions of Windows and Jaws, if I put Jaws in the system tray, the focus would go to the desktop. Just to clear up any confusion, we are talking about the start button, not a start screen. HTH, Rick Justice
