Hello Scott, 

In my message I said that you should use H followed by O followed by W to
get to where you can adjust column width.  I forgot to mention that you use
Alt key prior to pressing H.  The corrected message is below:

Use Alt followed by H followed by O followed by W, type in the width you
want to use and press enter key.  To confirm the change you can use the JAWS
key with F command and the two numbers given at the end of the information
JAWS gives you will be the width and height of the current cell or selection
of cells.
A quick way to confirm is to hold down JAWS key and press F twice, use CTRL
end in the virtual window and then up arrow a couple times to the width and
height information.
