Hi, Ed,
This information is taken from:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/get-delivery-and-read-receipt-confirmations-HP010355029.aspx

"A delivery receipt confirms delivery of your email message to the recipient's mailbox, but not that the recipient has seen it or read it. A read receipt confirms that your message was opened. In Microsoft Outlook, the message recipient can decline to send read receipts. There are other scenarios where read receipts are not sent, such as if the recipient's email program doesn't support read receipts."

I hope, this helps.

Hi group,

In Outlook 2010 when sending an email there are two request you can check.

1. Request delivery receipt

2. Request read receipt

I know what request read receipt is but I sent myself an email and check
request delivery receipt and when I opened the email I sent myself nothing
was there. So what is request delivery receipt supposed to do?
