Not quite.
If you are using Microsoft Security Essentials, you should initiate a full
scan. Open MSSE. Tab to the home button. Tab and you should be on a group
of radio buttons for Quick scan, Full Scan, or Customized scan. If you
haven't scanned in awhile, do a full scan.
If you have another anti-virus program on your computer, let the list know
what you have. There are also sites like
housecall.trendmicro.com/ where you can run a free on-line anti-virus scan.
Take my advice, I don't use it anyway.
