Yes, the search box works about as well. I find sometimes the results
dont' speak all that well. Sndvol works to get a volume control.

Yes, you can actually access the master volume via the system tray as you
did with the 2 previous Windows operating systems.

as in Vista or 7? I figure somebody is going to ask me so it seems prudent

I do a lot of work configuring sound cards for people on the tech team I am
on although I don't own an 8 system I will most likely need to know how to
setup such an animal.
