I believe if you do not touch any of the folders within the Windows "My document" folder, all music and other relevant apps and so on, will not be affected.

This means removing all the references to iTunes from the program files folder under the C Drive and any signs of iTunes in the add remove operation under the Control Panel. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what was happening until I removed all signs of iTunes from the PC. Hopefully, this will save lots of time for anyone else.
