Thanks David. I will be working with her later today. In fact, I will be
doing a Tandom session. I'm a little nervous about being on the operating
end for a change, but I think I can handle it. I'll let you know how it
turns out.

Well you have already taken the first step which was to ask for help in the
matter, good man. What you do is open up windows explorer by hitting the
windows key and at the same time the letter E. Then go to the tools menu and
select options. Control tab once. Then tab one time. Next arrow down to
where it says something about file extension and I forget the exact wording
off hand and hit the spacebar to turn it on.

Then tab to the apply button and hit it. Then you should land on a button
that says apply this to all folders of this type or something like that and
hit enter on it as well. Then tab to the OK button and hit enter on it. Life
should be good from then on.

Let me know how it works out for your friend.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Hidden Extensions

A friend of mine is using a Windows 7 desktop 64 bit system with JAWS 14.
She cannot see any extensions on her files. How can I help her to get the
extensions back?

Thanks,
Donnie
