hello mike;
well, I don't have an xp computer to varify this, so, just making suggestion
here;

1, my computer,

2, highlight your external drive,

3, press applications key, look for, something like,
open autoplay....
press enter,

now you should see a list,

choose the one which you wish to use.

let me know if this is useful.

First off are you sure your cables are securely attached?

Subject: [JAWS-Users] External Drives & Windows Explorer

Hi All,

Running XP Pro, IE8, Outlook Express, & J13 thru 15. I have my external
drives to open folders to view files using Windows Explorer but, they're not
doing so. I used to get a cancel button in Windows Explorer once the drive
was opened but, this isn't happening anymore. The only way I know if the
drive is accessible is by going to My Computer to see if the drive is
showing in the list. Can someone tell me what to do so I can get my external
drives to open in Windows Explorer again? Is there a service that might
have been turned off by chance? All help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks much.
Take care.
Mike
