Hi Gerald & Trish,

I haven't done a system restore because I don't know how far back to go & I 
am getting the device connect sound for each of the drives when plugging in 
/ starting them.  Thanks much.

Have you tried connecting these drives to a different USB port on your
computer?  And do you hear the "ding" sound when you plug any of these
drives into the USB port that indicates it is successfully connected?
