Hi Lenny, In Vipre you can tell the program to not block preferred websites but, you will need to put the whole URL into the edit field, you know, including the, HTTP://.
To do this, open Vipre from the system tray, Press the letter, V, wait a couple of seconds for it to load, tab to settings, & press the spacebar to open. With Settings open, control + tab, to the Firewall tab, tab to, Bad Web Site Exceptions... button & press the spacebar to open. Tab to, Add, press the spacebar to open, paste the whole URL into this edit field, & tab / okay your way out. I can't be more specific with the dialogue boxes that will come up but, you'll figure it out. Then, tab to apply, spacebar, tab to okay, & spacebar. Here is a work around & this is what I do when I'm going to a website that I know is safe: Open Vipre settings, go to the Firewall tab, tab to, Enable Bad Web Site Blocking, uncheck this box, tab to okay, & press enter. Close out of Vipre but, don't forget to recheck that box if you feel that you need that added protection after you're done with the current website you're wanting to open. Personally I always keep this box unchecked because I'm not a big surfer of the Internet & usually only go to certain websites but, if I feel the need for the added protection I'll go in & check this box. Under view there is firewall. No where is a place for me to add the exception.
