I have this problem from time to time when using ms word. This is probably a too simple answer for yor problem . But what I do when encountering this problem is close jaws then re open jaws. It Works for me.

I have not had time to call FS about it, but here is what I do. When replying to a message everything sounds just fine as I am typing in the body of the message. When I use the arrow keys to re-read the message, JAWS says nothing. I then Alt+Tab away from the message, and then Alt+Tab back to the message. Now I can navigate inside the body of the message as usual, but what I find is everything I typed minus the spaces and hard returns. I then have to go back and insert them in, or just delete the entire thing and start over. I've now learned to check things out after typing the greeting of my message.
