try just using windows explorer
to burn with windows 7 explorer
if you want to burn files to a cd or dvd
click the application key on the file and select it to be sent to your
dvd/cd drive
do so for as many files as you want to store on the dvd/cd
do this also if you want to make an audio cd
note if making an audio cd it can only be played in a computer
but you can put more music files on the cd and the track names of the songs
will be retained, if you burn with win media player only a certain amount
of music files can be placed on the cd
when windows pops up a message you have files ready to be burned to disc
click to continue if you have a blank disc in the drive just click the
application key and the dvd/cd drive should be selected so just select from
the context menu burn to disc
and select burn to disc
if you do not have a disc in the drive, insert a disc and go to computer,
open it and select your cd/dvd drive and in the context menu of your cd/dvd
drive if you do not see delete temporary files the files have not been sent
to windows explorer
if delete temporary files then just select burn to disc and follow the
prompts.
if you are making a dvd movie, only two files can be on your dvd. audio ts
and video ts. select these two files and send them to windows explorer.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Burning Audio CD with Win. Media Player 12
The ripping process to the hard drive was successful. Now, I am trying in
every way to make the below burning directions work, but they simply do not.
I use Win 7, JAWS 12 and Win. Media Player 12. I haven't been able to get
past Step 2 yet. No matter what I try, when I insert the CD, the options
that are suggested below do not come up. They only happen when I open the
disk drive in My Computer and then I hear what Step 2 refers to. Which
programs should be open before inserting the CD??? Should any programs be
opened at all or all closed??? After that point, I do everything suggested
but never come to a burn button, although not sure exactly even where that
should be with my truncated directions at that point.
Does anybody have any ideas on this topic and how I can do this
successfully, when I cannot even get the first step of these instructions to
work properly???
Thank you very much in advance.
*Burning a CD with Windows Media Player
Burning a CD with Windows Media Player Quick Method
1. Place a blank cd into the cdrw drive and close it.
2. Shortly a prompt will appear on screen asking what you wish to do with
this disc, "open, play etc."
So press the letter o for open followed by enter. Leave this window open
for later use.
3. Navigate to the location of files for the cd burning project and select
them.
a. To select all press control plus the letter a.
b. If you wish to select noncontinuous files (not below each other in the
list), do the following
Move to the first file to be selected.
Hold down the left control key and press the spacebar twice or until you
hear the file's name followed by the word "selected.
Next, keep the control key down and arrow to each file to be included and
hit the spacebar. You will hear "selected" if using a screenreader. This
option of selecting files can be done without a screenreader. I mention
this because
there may be some visual computer users who wish to use the keyboard.
4. Once all files are selected using the "select all" or "noncontinuous"
method, press control plus the letter c for copying all files to the
clipboard.
Mouse users can click the right mouse button and click on "copy."
5. Press alt plus tab and return to the open window of the cdrw drive.
6. Press control plus the letter v to paste in clipboard's contents.
7. Press alt plus the letter f.
8. Press the letter t.
9. Press alt plus the letter n for next.
10. If you are recording a data cd, Windows Media will start recording the
cd automatically and open the cdrw tray when finished.
11. If making an audio cd, You will be prompted if you wish to make an
audio or data cd. The default is audio. Some individuals make their audio
cd's as data cd's to fit more on the disc. However, these will not play in
a standard cd player. So that is why audio is default. Data cd's are
usually text,
program or photo files. So assuming you wish to make an audio cd, Press alt
plus n again.
12. Windows media Player will open. Then press alt plus the letter s to
start the burn.
13. Windows media player will open the cdrw tray when finished.
14. Remove the cd and close the tray.
15. Navigate back to the cdrw drive. You will find the titles of the files
just recorded.
Press control plus the letter a followed by the delete key.
16. Press the letter y for the prompt asking if you are sure about removing
mutiple files.
This only removes the titles from the cdrw drive and not from the original
location. This makes it easier when preparing for another cd burn. If you
do not remove the tracks, they will still be their the next time entering
the cdrw drive.
