I don't know, because once I saw the accessories folder in the start menu I
deleted the one I made in my profile. all I can tell you is that when I got
my windows 8.1 machine in the start menu there was no accessories folder.
all the shortcuts to programs that are normally in the accessories folder
were scattered about the start menu. when I created the new folder in my
profile then I noticed the folder with all the stuff in it.

I believe Win8 by default has a Accessories folder on the start screen. Are
you sure it is not this folder you have opened and not a new folder you just
created? Follow this path and look for an accessories folder:
c:\users\[your name]\
If there is an accessories folder in this location check the properties for
the folder. If it states it has been created today, then you previously
opened the Accessories folder already on the start screen.

I found I did not need the software ‘classic shell’ since I have my profile
on the desktop, I decided to try something. after opening my profile folder
I just simply created a new folder and named it accessories then exited my
profile and opened the start menu to see what files to copy to my new
accessories folder and after opening the start menu I found an accessories
folder appeared with everything fromprevious windows. I did not do
anything special so I don’t know but its organized now.
if you have not seen this thread I’m using windows 8.1 and jaws 15
