JAWS has 3 levels of how much of system messages are announced. the "presets" reflect the intention of what kind of blind user one is. the beginner (user) setting announces all messages, the moderate (user) announces less, and the advanced (user) announces the least. hth

Press, Insert + V, to open Jaws Options while in the particular program. 2. Arrow down to, User Verboscity, & press the spacebar to toggle through your 3 options. i.e., Beginner, Advanced, & Intermediate. When Jaws reports the level you want press enter to save your change & close. You can also press, Insert + 6, on the number row to open the Configuration Manager then press, control, shift, + D, for the Default Configuration Manager, & press, Alt + S, to open. Arrow down to, Verboscity Options, & press enter to open or after pressing, Alt + S, press the letter, V, to put you directly into verboscity options. HTH Take care.
