Wrong!
7,800Kbps is approximately equivalent to 7.8 megabits per second (Mbps).
So, if you are paying for an Internet connection advertised as 10Mbps download speed, then that is not too bad. Internet speed can vary greatly, based on many factors. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jorge Paez" <[email protected]>

78 hundred KBPS, which translates to 7.8 gbps.
Stable.
Its quite good, from what I understand.
Also, can someone explain what happens when you test?
For some reason I tried your test but the Internet window became
inaccessible all the sudden. I couldn't read anything on the page.

Hi
I ran the test and I have a speed of 7800 KBPS. Is that a good speed? Can
someone inform me of what the other numbers mean and how good or bad they
are?

Completely accessible with Jaws or VoiceOver. When the page loads, click on
the WiFi button and wait about 15 seconds. Then, arrow down the page to
view
the test results. I use it all the time to check Internet connections. The
title is iPhone test, but you can use it with any computer.

Happy Independence Day, gang. My Internet service provider, Verizon,
informed me yesterday that my monthly bill for DSL broadband service
would

be increasing by $5 per month starting this month. So I called their
customer retention help line and complained and was offered a free
upgrade

of my DSL service to "DSL enhanced". But to insure that they really
upgraded my DSL service, I would like to test my internet speed. Can
anyone recommend a JAWS-accessible internet speed test site that does not

require installing Java, and whose results are easily interpretable?
Thanks.

Gerald
