Another user on another mailing list has confirmed what you have  said. He 
said to leve these settings alone and all is good. This is all I know.

I have Vipre running on my Windows 7 laptop and I do have one issue with
it. When I open the program all the settings buttons just read settings.
They don't actually say what they are for. I am using JAWS 15.
