List, I have been using Sony computers over the last number of years. But Sony has sold it notebook business and I am looking to replace a Windows vista system with a Dell 15 inch series 3000 with windows 7 and an I core 3 processor. Price is right at $429 with 4 GB of ram. I am picking a windows 7 system as my other computer is a windows 7 Sony. Just concerned about going to windows 8 and possibly touch screen computers. I do not use an Apple I phone 5S and that touch screen phone. Although I had used Dell for many years, I had a problem with their computer about 6 years ago and sent it back and went to a Sony I 5 windows 7 machine which is incredible but it is over 3 years old and who knows about tomorrow.
Have any of you had experiences with the Dell Inspiron running windows 7 and Jaws 15? I suspect that soon, windows 7 may not be available as an option but maybe windows 8 may be okay using a keyboard. I will appreciate any insights with Dell and Jaws and also Jaws with windows 8.
