I recently bought an Asus laptop running Windows 8.1 and so far I have no problems with Windows 8.1. Actually it's a Ultrabook with a Intel Core i7 4th generation cpu, 8GB ram and 256 GB ssd and I find it to be very snappy. No touch screen on this ultrabook. I'm running JAWS 15 and I find keyboard navigation to work just fine in Windows 8.1 so far at least but I have just used W8.1 for a couple of days though. Ok, I miss the old W7 start menu etc but the new start screen is doable for sure. There is always www.classicshell.net if one can't stand the new W8.1 interface.

I suspect that soon, windows 7 may not be available as an option but maybe windows 8 may be okay using a keyboard. I will appreciate any insights with Dell and Jaws and also Jaws with windows 8.
