Press DOWN-ARROW twice quickly, or press it as many times quickly as it
takes to get to your required item in the list. (It may be some sort of
Java control, that automatically selects something for you after a
couple of seconds of inactivity.)

first library that started with an A. Then it automatically took the

to the password number. I cannot figure out how to get around this.

get to the place do an alt up arrow give this a try, what site is this

Ok, when you are in the combo box try doing an alt down arrow and
then
picking the library that you want and then do an alt up arrow to
close
the combo box.
