Hi
If a PDF document is not tagged, Adobe Reader has to process it
every time
you open it. If you've chosen the Read the entire document at
once, all
pages will be processed every time you open the document. If you
have a
large document that you'll be accessing frequently, you might
want to do a
save as while in the document and choose text. To move from page
to page,
press control+pagedown to go to the next page or control+pageup
to go to the
previous page. You can go to a specific page by pressing
control+shift+n
and then enter the page number.

I followed your instructions. Does adobe have to process all of
the pages of
a document every time you open the file? After opening the file
in adobe
reader, I can't figure out how to navagate the pages. Can you
help?

Hi
To set accessibility options in Adobe Reader xi, version 11,
press alt+e to
open the Edit menu. The second choice from the bottom is
accessibility.
Right arrow to open the Accessibility sub-menu, then press enter
on Setup
Assistant. You are now in a 5 screen dialog for the
accessibility
settings. If you want to change any of the settings, do not
press enter on
the Use recommended settings and skip setup button. Instead tab
to the next
button and press enter. I sort of remember that in some earlier
version of
Adobe Reader, the accessibility settings were in the Tools menu.
To have all pages in a document processed at the same time,
regardless of
the document size, press tab to go through screen 2, changing
anything you
might want to, until you get to the next button and press enter.
Do the
same thing on screen 3 and then press the next button to get to
screen 4.
The first item on screen 4 has 3 radio buttons which are only
read the
currently visible pages, read the entire document at once and for
large
documents only process the currently visible pages. Make sure
that Read the
entire document at once is checked. Then tab to the next button
and press
enter to go to the last screen. Tab until you reach the Done
button and
press enter. On this last screen, I have found it helpful to
make sure that
the check box for Display PDF documents in the web browser is
unchecked. If
you set the option to Read the entire document at once, The time
to process
the entire document will increase as the document size grows. On
some large
PDF documents, I've seen it take from 5 to 10 minutes to process
the
document.

Hey friends, I have set accessibility options in adobe reader 11
to process
all pages in one go. In some document jaws processes all pages
while in some
document it process only visible page. Where it processes only
visible page,
it is not possible to find some particular word by find dialogue
box if the
word in question is on some other page. What is the solution for
it. I am
using jaws 14 with adobe reader 11 latest version in win 7 32
bit.
