Hi Jim,

Windows 8.1 comes with the metro app called simply Mail. Like most Metro apps, it leaves a lot to be desired. I have not fooled around with it too much, but I can see from when I have, that you can tab or shift tab back and forth through a new message, and add your receipients, subject, and then write the body of the message. Then you will have to shift back up the list to find the send button. I am not sure if there are any short cut kkeys for it, like in Windows Live Mail, you can press Alt+S to send the message. However, I am using the latest version of Windows Live Mail on my 8.1 machine. It is part of a suite called Windows Live Essentials 2012, and the WLM is version 16. Then there is always Thunderbird which is free, and of course Outlook. Basically the same old choices.
