hello Steve;
as David pointed out,
you can use the ctrl+shift+#5,
or, another way is,
navigate to the documents folder,
now press the applications key,
or, shift+f10,
enter on view sub-menu, or right arrow to open the menu, down arrow enter
on, list.
hope this helps,

Hi All,

I have a new Windows 8.1 and JAWS 16 laptop. How do I set the view in the
documents folder to list view? Thanks and have a great day!
