Hi

In Windows 8.1, once you've changed the view and while you are still in the
folder, press alt+v for the view tab. Then press the letter y. You should
hear Change folder and search options. Press enter to open the dialog. Under
the view tab, you will find apply to folders. I found this information in a FS
podcast titled File explorer in Windows 8.1.

Hi All,

Thanks for the view tips. Also, how do you apply this view to other folders of
this type? I meant to ask this as well in my original message. Thanks and
have a great day!

By deselecting everything in the documents folder and opening the context menu.
Then open the View menu, and scroll up untill you find List, and press enter on
it. Details also gives you the List view, but with the details of the file or
folder displayed, i.e. date created, type, etc.
