The piece I forgot is that our next move is to put jaws on this tablet now
that we have established efficacy for a screen reader.

This information would be pertinent to the list if Jaws
were the screen-reader that was used.

My son bought one of these tablets and I convinced him, yesterday, to
downloadNVDA and install it on his tablet.
Now, he's a touchscreen guy, and he gets a little disoriented when dealing
with alternatives. However, NVDA just got up and ran. He discovered that
some points on the screen required a longer touch or a double touch, but it
seemed to be working just fine. He's been trying to convince me to buy one,
and I just may do that if I can find a keyboard that's small enough to be
convenient but with big enough keys to be felt by my very numb fingers. The
alternative might be to try and run Dragon NaturallySpeaking on it.
He did say that the print was so incredibly small that it was challenging to
read with any comfort, and that you almost need a stylus to click on things
accurately.
I'm sure many of you have heard about the Dell that was demonstrated at last
summer's conferences, and my son tells me it's down to $150 or so, so I may
by that one instead.
In case you feel like experimenting, I thought I would update you.
