There is a very accessible Linux distribution called Vinux which has
speech out of the box.

Jaws is specific to the Windows operating system.
That is why you will find references to JFW (Jaws for Windows).

I found a place in Chicago that rebuilds computers and sells them very
cheaply. The issue is that they use the Lenex (spelling uncertain)
operating system exclusively. I am guessing that JAWS doesn't work with
